土曜午前に実施している小学生対象英会話講座(SHOIN-ELS講座)の実施済講座の報告です。このページでは、2024年度第1期の内容をご紹介しています。参加している小学生の顔やお名前が分からないように写真は加工しています。
全６回（または５回）の連続講座ですが、途中回からの参加も可能です。
| ■6/29（土）インターミディエイト5・4年生コース（5回目）※第１期最終回 |
Today students did an experiment: “Suspension bridges or beam bridges: which is stronger?” Students practiced the vocabulary they would need for the lesson, wrote a hypothesis, and built and tested the model bridges. I won’t say the results, but I will definitely say strong bridges are important for society! Do your best, young engineers!
We will see the fifth and fourth graders next semester!
今日生徒はこの質問をテーマに実験をしました：「吊り橋か梁橋、どちらが強い？」重要な英単語を練習してから仮説を書きました。実験の結果は内緒ですが、やはり強い橋は社会にとって重要なものです。 Do your best, young engineers!

Students practiced saying and writing some new verb forms and phrases to write a vacation postcard to someone. Great writing！
Last, as a review students answered phonics questions in a bakery operation game. Excellent reading!

生徒たちは、長期休暇に関するはがきを書くために、いろいろな英単語を練習しました。Great writing！
後半ではタブレットでベーカリーシミュレーションゲームを頑張りました。フォニックスの質問に答えると、ベーカリーアイテムを買えるようになりました。Excellent reading!

Today’s practice essay topic was “Do you spend or save money?” It was a difficult topic and everyone did great! Splendid writing!
After that, students learned about “bartering” by practicing bartering in English with blocks. Today’s question was “Which is easier: bartering or using money?” Happy bartering！
今日のエッセイのトピックは「お金を使いますか、それとも貯めますか？」でした。ちょっと難しいトピックでしたが、みんな頑張って書けました。 Splendid writing!
その後、ブロックを使って、英語で物々交換の練習をしました。今日の質問は「物々交換とお金を使うのでは、どちらがやりやすいですか？」でした。Happy bartering！

| ■6/22（土）ビギナー6年生コース（5回目） |
Beginner practiced building names and prepositions of place. They listened and moved a stuffed toy wherever the teacher asked. Great listening!
This culminated in them making a city together from the teacher’s English instructions. Future builders!
ビギナーコースは、よく行く場所の名前と場所を表す前置詞を練習しました。英語の指示を聞いて、動物のぬいぐるみをいろいろな場所に動かしました。Great listening!
最後に、先生の英語の指示に従って、みんなで町を作りました。Future builders!

Today’s practice essay topic was “What do you do outside?” Everyone wrote a lot. Nice writing!
After that, students used origami to learn about the difference between symmetrical and asymmetrical. They found a symmetrical item outside and introduced it to the class. Symmetry is everywhere！
今日のエッセイのトピックは「What do you do outside?」でした。生徒たちはたくさん書きました。 Nice writing!
その後、折り紙を使って、英語で対称と非対称の違いを勉強しました。外で対称的なものを見つけてクラスメートに紹介しました。Symmetry is everywhere！
| ■6/8（土）ビギナー6年生コース（4回目） |
Beginner learned how to say what they needed for a grocery list. They picked a recipe and wrote down everything they needed in English. Bon appetit!
The students learned about silent E during phonics practice. They listened hard to write the vowel the teacher said on a whiteboard. Great listening!
ビギナーのキッズたちは、食品リストに必要なものの言い方を学びました。レシピを選んで、そのレシピの買い物リストを作りました。最後にそのリストを発表しました。Bon appetit!
後半はフォニックスの練習をしました。先生が言った言葉を聞いて、その言葉のアルファベットを書きました。Great listening!

| ■5/18（土）インターミディエイト５・４年生コース（２回目） |
A main theme of Intermediate is “preparing for the Global entrance exam”, and an essay is part of the entrance exam. Today’s practice essay topic was “Should programming be a class in school?”
After that, students learned about the difference between simple and complex instructions and wrote their own simple set of programming code on paper. How cool!
インタミディエイトコースの目標の一つは「GS受験の対策」、その受験にはエッセイライティングがあります。そこで今回、「Should programming be a class in school?（学校の授業でプログラミングをするべきか？）」というテーマでエッセイを書いてみました。
その後、単純な指示と複雑な指示の違いを英語で学び、自分の簡単なプログラミングコードを紙に書いてみました。How cool!
| ■5/18（土）ビギナー５・４年生コース（２回目） |
Beginner practiced various adjectives to describe people in speaking and writing. They played a fun tablet game too using these adjectives.
The students learned about blends during phonics practice and used their knowledge with a reading board game on the tablet. Great reading!
ビギナーコースでは、話したり書いたりする際に使用する、人に関する様々な形容詞について練習をしました。その後、これらの形容詞を使って楽しいゲームをタブレットで楽しみました。後半は、フォニックスの練習で「連続子音」について学び、その知識をタブレット上のオンラインボードゲームで読む練習をしました。Great reading!

| ■ 5/11（土）インターミディエイト６年生コース（２回目） |
講座の前半は、”What are the two things you want right now? And why?”と “I want … and … Because …” の表現について学びました。実際に自分に当てはめて表現することで使えるようになります。続いて、Mind Mapを使用してエッセイを書く練習をしました。休憩をはさんで後半は、”Kahoot Game”の後、”want” と”need”の使い分けを練習しました。
| ■ 5/11（土）ビギナー６年生コース（２回目） |
今回の語彙の紹介は、国名です。その後は国名と国旗を結び付けて、国旗の色や形を英語で表現できるように練習しました。最後は、phonicsの復習をしました。もちろん、ゲームもしながら楽しく英会話しましたよ。
| ■4/13（土）インターミディエイト６年生コース（１回目） |
初回講座では、このクラスのルールを確認した後、自己紹介に関するゲームを行いました。そして、様々な国の国旗の特徴を英語で表現する方法を学びました。後半には、自分を象徴するオリジナルフラッグを作成しました。

この日の講座では、五感に対しての表現を学びました。後半はフォニックスの練習です。
